Oglala Sioux Tribe officer on leave after shooting
A police officer from the Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota has been placed on administrative leave after being involved in a non-fatal shooting.

The tribe said the officer felt her life was in danger. “During the struggle, she shot the perpetrator,” public safety chief Everett Little Whiteman told The Rapid City Journal.

Robert Little was allegedly resisting arrest and allegedly assaulted Wilson when he was shot on Sunday afternoon on the Pine Ridge Reservation. He remains hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds.
