Three injured in shooting at Squamish powwow
Three people were injured in a shooting on Saturday night at the Squamish Nation powwow in British Columbia.

Chief Bill Williams said the shooting occurred after a group of people were barred entry into the powwow. The group had been consuming alcohol.

Two male victims remain hospitalized in serious condition with injuries. A woman who was shot was released.

The shooting came just hours before a planned anti-violence rally on Sunday. “You can’t let evil ones get into you and make you like them,” elder Lila Johnson told The Vancouver Sun.
