Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe objects to wind plan
The Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts says the state's plans for commercial wind farms do not take into account the tribe's views.

The state's draft ocean management plan calls for up to 166 wind turbines off the coast of Martha's Vineyard. The tribe says the placement of the wind farms will negatively impact cultural and historic areas.

The tribe will prepare a response to the plan by the end of the year, historic preservation officer Bettina Washington said.
