Osage Nation interested in ancestral mound
The Osage Nation of Oklahoma is interested in purchasing an ancestral mound in St. Louis, Missouri.

The tribe wants to preserve the 40-foot-high Sugarloaf Mound. Plans call for an interpretive center at the site.

The mound is the only one left of its kind in St. Louis. Three homes are located at the site.

The Osages lived in the area before being forced to move to Oklahoma.
