Summer school offers Native language classes
Pueblo and Navajo students in Albuquerque, New Mexico, are spending the summer learning more about their languages.

Griegos Elementary is offering a class in Navajo and another in Tiwa, spoken at Isleta Pueblo. The program started last week and the 130 students already have perfect attendance.

"When my grandparents speak Navajo, I'll know what they're saying," 11-year-old Briana Bruno told The Albuquerque Journal of her desire to learn her language.
