BIA sets public hearing on Cayuga land-into-trust
The Bureau of Indian Affairs is will hold a public hearing on June 8 on the Cayuga Nation's land-into-trust application.

The tribe wants 125 acres placed in trust. The land is within the tribe's ancestral reservation.

The tribe operates smoke shops and convenience stores on the land and plans to open gaming facilities. Local officials are opposing the application.
