Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe to plant DC garden
Joseph Brings Plenty, the chairman of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe of South Dakota, is helping the Department of Agriculture celebrate Earth Day on Wednesday.

Brings Plenty will plant the Three Sisters Garden at Agriculture headquarters in Washington, D.C. The garden pays tribute to the beans, squash and corn cultivated by Indian farmers.

The planting ceremony takes place on the outside corner of 12th Street and Jefferson Drive SW, the Jamie L. Whitten Building, at 10:30am tomorrow. Deputy Secretary Kathleen Merrigan will join Brings Plenty for the event.
