Seneca Nation donated $330K to Democrats in 2008
The Seneca Nation of New York donated $330,000 to Democratic committees last year, The Buffalo News reports.

The tribe donated $180,000 to then-candidate Barack Obama’s Committee for Change. Another $150,000 went to Democratic committees in 15 key states.

"The Seneca Nation has chosen to exercise its ability to participate in the political process," Richard Nephew, the tribal council chairman, told the paper.

Another $15,000 went to the Republican congressional campaign committee.
