Eastern Cherokee man appointed to state court
Bradley Letts, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, has been appointed to a superior court judgeship by North Carolina Gov. Bev Perdue (D).

Letts currently serves as a district court judge. He will resign the post to represent Haywood and Jackson counties as a Superior Court judge.

Letts previously served as in-house counsel for his tribe.
