OST offers financial literacy training sessions
The Office of the Special Trustee for American Indians has scheduled a series of financial and entrepreneurial training sessions on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation.

The sessions are the work of OST, the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and the First Nations Development Institute. Experts will provide information about improving personal financial skills, setting financial goals or building a business.

"This is the second series of financial training offered in the Great Plains region," said Ed Grant, OST’s fiduciary trust officer on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. “When the first workshops were held in September at the Fort Berthold Agency, we received feedback that everyone, not just tribal members on the reservations, could use training like this."

Five sessions will be held from March 31 to April 2. The schedule follows:
March 31, 2009
9:00 a.m. to Noon at Prairie Knights Casino, Ft. Yates, North Dakota
1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Standing Rock Sioux Tribe Administrative Service Center, Fort Yates, North Dakota

April 1, 2009
9:00 a.m. to Noon at Grand River Casino, Mobridge, South Dakota
April 1, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Satellite Entrepreneurial Center, McLaughlin, South Dakota
