Abramoff scandal brings another indictment
A former staffer to Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska) was indicted on Friday in connection with the Jack Abramoff scandal.

Fraser C. Verrusio was charged with conspiring to accept an illegal gratuity, accepting an illegal gratuity and failing to report his receipt of gifts from a lobbyist. He was treated to an all-expenses-paid trip to the first game of the 2003 World Series in New York by Abramoff's associates in exchange for helping one of their clients, according to a press release from the Department of Justice.

Verrusio is the second former Young staffer to be charged in connection with the scandal, which broke five years ago and has led to more than a dozen indictments and guilty pleas. Only one Congressman -- former Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio) -- has been directly affected.
