Salazar to testify before Indian Affairs Committee
Interior Secretary Ken Salazar will make his first Capitol Hill appearance this week.

Salazar, a former senator from Colorado, is scheduled to testify before the Senate Indian Affairs Committee on Thursday. He will give his views on Indian issues.

Along with President Barack Obama, Salazar has pledged to work closely with tribes. He cited education and law enforcement as his top concerns at a media roundtable last month.

The hearing takes place at 9:30am in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building.
