Colville Tribes focus on renewable energy
The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation in Washington are working on two renewable energy projects.

The first is a partnership with Clipper Windpower to focus on wind energy. Three towers have been installed on the reservation to identify sites for a potential wind turbine.

The second is a $30 million 20-megawatt woody biomass burner that would harness power from the tribe's timber company. The tribe could use the burner to generate revenues.
