Another former Abramoff associate charged
A former associate of jailed lobbyist Jack Abramoff was charged Wednesday with providing gifts and favors to a former Senate staffer.

Todd Boulanger is expected to plead guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. He is accused of working with Abramoff and other associates to provide "things of value" to a former staffer to Sen. Thad Cochran (R-Mississippi).

The Associated Press identified the former staffer as Ann Copland, who was Cochran's lead staffer on dealing with issues affecting the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. The tribe was Abramoff's biggest client.

Copland "should get everything she wants," Boulanger said in an e-mail. "She'll get everything she wants," Abramoff noted.
