Dry Creek Band plans to remove 73 from rolls

The Dry Creek Band of Pomo Indians of California plans to remove 73 adult members from the rolls.

Tribal members voted to remove the group after an audit. The 73 people reportedly did not meet Pomo membership requirements.

The disenrollment reduces the adult membership of the tribe by nearly 13 percent. Each member receives about $600 a month in casino per capita payments.

A similar action is taking place nearby at the Robinson Rancheria of Pomo Indians. Tribal leaders recently approved the removal of 50 people from the rolls.
