The Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation is the new owner of a retail shop on the Fort Berthold Reservation in North Dakota. The tribe purchased the Northern Star Gift Shop in New Town as an economic development venture and to promote Indian arts and crafts. The store currently operates under the tribal council's economic development committee but the goal is to create a separate entity, a tribal council member said. Get the Story:
