A new team of prosecutors has taken over the ongoing Jack Abramoff investigation, The Politico reports.
More than a dozen people have pleaded guilty or have been indicted in connection with the probe. The new team is seeking more indictments -- even of lobbyists and former Congressional aides who didn't play a big role in the scandal, according to the Politico.
Kevin Ring, a tribal lobbyist who refused to testify before the Senate Indian Affairs
Committee, is fighting the charges against him. Two other Abramoff associates are also being targeted but haven't been indicted so far.
The Politico said former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas) and several of his former aides are targets as well.
