North Dakota won't revive 'Fighting Sioux' lawsuit
The North Dakota Board of Higher Education won't revive a lawsuit over the controversial "Fighting Sioux" nickname and logo.

The board voted unanimously against reopening a settlement between the University of North Dakotaand the NCAA. UND agreed to get rid of the name within three years unless it could get the support of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and the Spirit Lake Dakotah Nation.

An attorney who graduated from UND pressed the board to revive the case.
