Comanche Nation due in court over Fort Sill work

The Comanche Nation and the U.S. Army will be in court tomorrow to discuss the tribe's opposition to construction at the military facility.

The tribe won a temporary injunction that halted work near Medicine Bluffs, a sacred site at Fort Sill. The tribe is asking for a permanent injunction and say the Army can build a training service center elsewhere within the facility.

Medicine Bluffs is one of the more prominent landmarks within Fort Sill, which was built during the Indian wars of the late 1800s. The site a place of immense healing and spiritual medicine for the Comanche people.
