Fort Mojave teens take part in Longest Walk 2
The teen council of the Fort Mojave Tribe Fort Mojave Tribe took part in the recently-concluded Longest Walk 2.

Seven teens, ages 13-17, marched in Washington, D.C., with other participants. They traveled to the U.S. Capitol, where they delivered a "Manifesto for Change" that includes a request to protect important Fort Mojave sites along the Colorado River. The tribe is based along the river in Arizona and Nevada.

The Longest Walk 2 began in San Francisco, California, on February 11. Participants in two routes walked more than 8,000 miles to DC, where they ended their journey on July 11.
