The Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation of North Dakota has reached agreement over the construction of a new Bureau of Indian Affairs school.

The tribe will contribute $4 million towards the new $8 million school in Twin Buttes. Construction of the K-8 school had been delayed until agreement was reached with the BIA.

Groundbreaking is set for June 20. The 33,000-square foot facility will include nine classrooms, a library, gymnasium, cafeteria and administrative offices.
