California school district votes to drop 'Redskins'


The board of the Colusa Unified School District voted 3-2 on Tuesday to eliminate the district's "Redskins" mascot.

According to The Marysville/Yuba City Appeal-Democrat, most people opposed the change. Members of local tribes spoke in favor of getting rid of the mascot.
