Stillaguamish Tribe to receive eight buffalo

The Stillaguamish Tribe of Washington will be starting its first bison herd.

The tribe is receiving eight bison from the Intertribal Bison Cooperative. In the coming years, the tribe hopes to grow the herd to 70 animals.

The tribe plans to distribute the meat to tribal members and sell some of it.
