Protesters arrested at troubled tribal college

Three people were arrested on Wednesday for occupying D-Q University in northern California.

The trio are part of a larger group of former D-Q students. They have been holding classes at the school in hopes of keeping the troubled tribal college, which lost is accreditation and federal funding, alive.

But D-Q board members say the former students are illegally occupying the building and running up electricity bills. They also say they are worried about health and safety issues.

Manuel Santana, 24, Daniel Cory, 21, and Christopher Yazzie, 26, were arrested by the Yolo County sheriff's department. They face misdemeanor trespassing charges.
