Oklahoma couple creates Indian scholarship

An Oklahoma couple has donated $15,000 to Oklahoma City University to start a scholarship for Indian business students.

Phil Busey, who is Cherokee and Delaware, and his wife, Cathy, attended OCU. They are starting a foundation to expand their new scholarship program.

“We want to positively impact the lives of OCU students,” Busey told The Journal Record. “We want to increase the fund annually.”

Busey is the chairman of the Busey Group of Companies, a privately held group of businesses in the defense, technology and Indian law fields.
