Developer ordered to protect burial mounds

A developer in Wisconsin has been ordered to protect burial mounds that were damaged by construction workers.

Crews at the Pabst Farms housing community near Milwaukee cut some brush around the three mounds. A vehicle was also driven over the mounds, which are 800 to 1,400 years old.

Archaeologists from the Wisconsin Historical Society ordered fencing around the mounds. Two of them are in the shape of a panther.
