A 14-year-old Eastern Cherokee boy is safe with his family after being abducted on Sunday.
Tribal police issued an Amber Alert for Derrick Taylor earlier in the day. Two white males reportedly beat up Derrick and threw him in the trunk of a car.
Derrick was able to contact tribal police with a cell phone and said he had been locked in a shed.
His abductors later released him and he was rescued around 7pm.
