Hannahville Tribe wins USDA grant to study winery

The Hannahville Indian Community of Michigan will use a $22,000 federal grant to study the winery business.

The tribe received the grant from the Department of Agriculture's Rural Development agency. It will be used to develop technical and marketing data for the possible winery.

“We are hopeful that when the analysis is complete, we will have a green light to move forward with the project,” Chairman Ken Meshigaud said.

The Hannahville Tribe is a Potawatomi community.
