Lummi man questioned in other unsolved murders

A member of the Lummi Nation of Washington who was charged with a 20-year-old murder is being questioned in similar cases.

Henry Keeler Redlightning, 58, a former tribal cop, was arrested last week for the murder of Rita DiSangh. DiSangh's body was found on the reservation in 1987.

The FBI has confirmed that Redlightning may be responsible for many as six other killings and disappearances on the reservation and in nearby areas. Redlightning lived in Bellingham, a city near the reservation.

One case involves Carol Greene, a 36-year-old tribal member who was murdered in 1983. Her mother and her husband were both questioned in connection with the crime.

"When that happened, our family fell apart," Margaret Greene told The Seattle Times.
