Wyoming tribes submit draft of water use plan

The Eastern Shoshone Tribe and the Northern Arapaho Tribe have developed a water use plan.

The plan says the tribes have a right to 500,000 acre-feet of water every year for any use. But non-Indian users say it could conflict with court orders in water rights cases.

The tribes plan to submit the plan to their respective business committees. The public will be allowed to comment.

The tribes share the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming.
