Kickapoo corruption trial underway in Texas

Four people are on trial in federal court for a corruption scam involving the Kickapoo Tribe of Texas.

Seven people, including the tribe's former chairman, were indicted on charges of stealing more than $900,000 from the tribe. Tax fraud and conspiracy charges were also laid on the "Kickapoo Seven."

Some of the defendants, including former chairman Raul Garza, accepted guilty pleas and have been sentenced. Four non-Indians with ties to Garza went to trial on Monday.
