Native voters organize new group in Montana

A new group called United Native Voters aims to mobilize Native Americans in Great Falls, Montana.

Organizers Glenn Gopher and Tommy Stiffarm hope to tap into power of the 5,000 Native American who live in the city. They want candidates to address issues important to the Native community, such as providing opportunities for Native youth and building a cultural center

"We want to be heard," Gopher told The Great Falls Tribune.

Once Gopher and Stiffarm get the group off the ground, they hope to go statewide.
