Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas is welcoming students to class for its 123rd year.
More than 150 tribes are represented by the student body. Enrollment figures weren't immediately reported.
This is the first school year for new president Linda Warner, a member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma. She will be officially inaugurated in October.
