Authorities probe deaths on Goshute Reservation

Local and federal authorities are investigating the deaths of a man and his two children on the Skull Valley Goshute Reservation in Utah.

Tribal members helped put out a burning car early Thursday morning. Inside were Christopher Jessop and his 3-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son.

Authorities say gasoline was poured on the car and ignited. They are trying to figure out whether to classify the incident as a homicide or a suicide-homicide.

Christopher Jessop, a contractor at the Dugway Proving Ground near the reservation, was having marital problems with his wife. Authorities are trying to determine whether this played a role in the deaths.
