A 17-year-old member of the Blackfeet Nation of Montana was stabbed to death early Wednesday morning on the reservation.
William "Little Bill" White Quills Jr. was the victim of an apparent homicide, his mother said. The FBI and the Bureau of Indian Affairs are investigating.
"We do suspect that foul play was involved," FBI Agent Scott Cruse told The Great Falls Tribune.
Quills has just graduated from the Blackfeet Academy, an alternative high school. An avid singer, he hoped to try out for the "American Idol" competition later this summer.
