Elderly Navajo couple missing for more than a week

An elderly Navajo couple from New Mexico have been missing for more than a week.

Elmer Benallie, 73, and his wife Lucille, 69, were last seen on March 27. They were headed out to one of their cattle ranches near Shiprock, New Mexico, but failed to return home.

Navajo Nation police searched the area and also went to the second ranch, near the Arizona border. But no signs of the couple have been found.

State police have assisted the search, one of their first on the reservation in several years.
