Native artist creates poster for Oklahoma Centennial

Ben Harjo, an award-winning Seminole/Shawnee artist, has created a poster for the Oklahoma Centennial Commission.

"A Returning of Nations" is dedicated to the tribes who call Oklahoma home. All of the tribe's names are listed on the poster, which features an Indian figure in mosaic and a buffalo.

"I wanted to pay homage to all of the tribes that have lived in Oklahoma at one time and those who continue to live in the state,” Harjo told The Oklahoman.
