The family of an Omaha man who was stabbed to death three days after being released from jail expressed disappointment with the pace of the police investigation.
Gary Lasley Jr., 19, was found dead in an apartment in South Sioux City, Nebraska, on Saturday. Police have a suspect in mind but Lasley's mother said the investigation doesn't seem to be going anywhere.
Lasley was brought back to the Omaha Reservation for his burial, which takes place this Wednesday. Family and friends gathered at the Native American Church to remember a man who left behind two infant daughters.
