Man indicted for deaths in drug-related car crash

A New Mexico man was indicted in Colorado for a car crash on the Southern Ute Reservation that claimed the lives of a woman and her granddaughter.

Jamie L. Wood faces two counts of vehicular homicide. On November 28, 2006, he allegedly hit a car carrying Jack Duran, 71, Lorraine Duran, 69, and their 8-year-old granddaughter, Jacklyn Duran.

Lorraine Duran and Jacklyn Duran died as a result of the crash. Jack Duran suffered injuries.

According to police officers, Wood admitted that he had smoked marijuana on the day of the accident. Methaphetamines and marijuana were found in his car.
