Muscogee Nation launches Native voter initiative

The Muscogee (Creek) Nation of Oklahoma is hoping Native voters turn out to the polls today.

The tribe created the Native Vote United initiative to register more Native voters. On primary day, rides will be provided to people who can't get to the polls.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 8.1 percent of the state's population is American Indian or Alaska Native. The state includes the U.S. congressional district with the highest percentage of Native voters.
