The National Museum of the American Indian's new exhibition on Pacific Northwest cultures is family and kid friendly, The Washington Post reports.

"Listening to Our Ancestors" features more than 400 objects from tribes in Alaska, British Columbia or Washington. Children can touch some of the items and participate in an interactive display to learn more about the 11 communities along the North Pacific Coast.

The exhibit debuted last month and runs through January 2, 2007. Throughout the month of March, the museum will host special programs about the Pacific Coast.
