The Oglala Sioux Tribe postponed a hearing to determine whether to remove President Cecelia Fire Thunder from office.

The hearing was to be held on Monday but had to be rescheduled due to conflicts. The new date is Monday, December 19.

Fire Thunder, the first female president of the tribe, is accused of not being properly enrolled, of endangering the tribe by accepting a $38 million loan from another tribe and of being disrespectful to elders. She has been suspended pending resolution of the complaint.
