Alaska Native corporation reports record profits


Arctic Slope Regional Corp., an Alaska Native regional corporation, reported record profits for the first six months of 2005.

ASRC reported $59 million in profit, the most money the corporation has made in six months. revenues of $757 million. ASRC had revenues of $757 million, up 40 percent.

The numbers represent a turnaround for ASRC. The once profitable company lost $17 million in 2004. In 2004, profits were $17 million but they fell to $5 million in profit in 2003.
