Cocopah Tribe tells 'Patriots' group to stay away

The Cocopah Tribe of Arizona has asked a citizens patrol group to stay off the reservation.

The tribe says the Yuma Patriots, an all volunteer group, don't have a right to patrol the part of the reservation on the U.S.-Mexico border. The tribe says it will rely on the U.S. Border Patrol.

But the Patriots, led by 50-year-old Flash Sharrar, plan to return. Sharrar says he has asked the tribe to identify its lands but hasn't received an answer. The federal government also hasn't said which lands it owns, according to Sharrar.
