A fourth person has pleaded guilty in a kickback scheme to help former Crow chairman Clifford G. Bird in Ground,

Brenden Dean Passes, 29, pleaded guilty to theft from a tribal organization. He faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine, The Billings Gazette reported.

Passes is one of five people charged with submitting false contracts to the Crow Tribe and funneling the proceeds to Bird in Ground, who was under indictment on bribery charges. Bird in Ground eventually pleaded guilty.

Only one of the group of five has pleaded not guilty.
