Opinion: Indian museum shows us 'who we destroyed'

"There are those who will say that the new museum—with its pavilions full of vendors, and a copy of [Allan] Houser’s “Reflections” available on the first floor for $55,000—is the ultimate marketing scheme: a guilt trip down memory lane. But who deserves our financial support more than those upon whose backs our great nation stands? The museums of Natural History, American History, and Air & Space chronicle what we know of ourselves, how we came to be, and where we have gone. The Museum of the American Indian shows us who we destroyed to get there."
