Charges pending for murders on Crow Reservation


The FBI is still investigating the brutal beating deaths of two women on the Crow Reservation in Montana.

Koren Diebert, 26, and LaFonda Big Leggins, 23, were found dead on Thanksgiving Day., November 27. Their bodies were dumped in a remote area on the reservation.

Two brothers and a juvenile brother have been arrested but no charges have been filed. An FBI supervisor told The Billings Gazette that agents are awaiting test results on forensic evidence that was sent to the FBI's crime lab in Quantico, Virginia.

One of those who was arrested, Eugene R. Rising Sun, 23, pleaded not guilty to drug trafficking charges in a separate case. His brother, Moses Rising Sun, 19, and an unnamed juvenile were also arrested for the double murders.
