Grand Ronde Tribes want to host NASCAR events

The Confederated Grand Ronde Tribes of Oregon are interested in getting in the NASCAR business.

Tribal officials are talking with International Speedway Corporation to fund a raceway that could host NASCAR events. "I don't know where it's going to go. We're looking at potential sites, gauging the elders' response," a tribal spokesperson told The Olympian.

ISC is said to be looking for a site to host a racetrack in the Northwest. Officials in Washington and Oregon are interested in bringing NASCAR to their areas.
