Company denies being front for tribe or Trump

A company seeking to build an entertainment theme park near the Mohegan Tribe's casino in Connecticut says it is not a front for another tribe or casino mogul Donald Trump.

Utopia Studios of New York is planning a 2,000-room hotel and a $900 million entertainment complex at the site of a former hospital. The company's chief executive officer has accused the Mohegans of trying to derail the proposal, which the tribe denies.

There is some bad blood brewing between the two camps. Utopia is eyeing a plot of land that the tribe has leased for some time. Mohegan chairman Mark Brown and the head of Utopia talked about the land, but Brown ended the discussion and said he would no longer discuss any business with Utopia.
