February 2016 was a good month for tribal gaming in Connecticut.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation reported $36.2 million in slot machine revenue at the Foxwoods Resort Casino. That's up 14.7 percent from February 2015.

The Mohegan Tribe also saw strong gains at the Mohegan Sun. Slot revenues were $48.4 million, an increase of 14.9 percent, according to news reports.

The tribes are working together in hopes of opening a new casino in Connecticut that would address competition from neighboring Massachusetts.
